I could just scream!!!! Who among us hasn't had a bag break? Would you run to an attorney because of it? NO WONDER the price of everything is going up. Businesses have to defend themselves against ridiculous lawsuits constantly. Seems Wal-Mart and McDonald's have the deepest pockets these days.

The callousness displayed on this thread is sickening. This woman was seriously injured and could even been killed. Some people have no conception of the grocery bag threat.

We should have federal inspectors, and probably a lawyer, at every checkout counter to guard against this.

Did they ask for the items to be double or triple bagged? Apparently not. Stores generally don't double-bag items unless you ask.

They should have the rest of their toes broken. Then onto the a_sh_le lawyer who is taking the case for his/her 33% to 50% split.
