It is an affront indeed. End this one thing and end chain migration (where adult relatives of an immigrant can get sponsored without limit) and the 'flood' of immigrants would dry up.

I might be mistaken on this but the child has to be a certain age (18 I think) before he/she can request citizenship for the parents. Of course, that does not preculde the fact that I do not think children of illegals should qualify for education but imagine deporting them and facing the wrath of the ACLU and the rest of the liberals calling us racist, bigoted and all the rest....
