You might want to read Liberman's plan on this. He proposes citiznership for all these hard work illegals. Bush is trying to take steps to solve a huge problem that exists. Mass deportation aint going to happen and there is not a magic wand solution in place either.
What is your solution if not mass deportation???

I've posted this several times on several other threads, but here goes.
1. Secure our borders. Period. We do a pretty good job securing South Korea's Northern border, why not ours?
2. Institute a guest worker program but make all applicants apply from their home country.
3. Enforce existing immigration laws and deport illegals as they are discovered.

Mass deportation aint going to happen and there is not a magic wand solution in place either.

Who asked anyone to wave a magic wand? This is a loser for W. I'm a long time Bush supporter and I don't see where he does anything but shoot himself in the foot with this deal. A year before the 1992 election Bush the eldeer was at 92% approval ratings...then he broke his word...I'm very afraid that this is W's "Read My Lips" moment.
