In all my whining about my rotten day yesterday, I don't believe I ever mentioned the icing on the cake, which had also totally ruined hubby's day.
At some point in his driving yesterday, 300 miles in a day is not unusual for him, he realized he had lost his wedding ring. He checked back with everyone of the service calls he had made, and even went back to a convenience store where he had gotten coffee and left his name and number and a description of the ring.
The only place he didn't check back with was the UPS loading dock where he had picked up parts at some time during the day.
He just called me - the gals he knows at UPS hadn't found it and none of the drivers had seen it and so he left, "dejected" was his word. As he was walking across the 5 acre parking lot to his car - guess what he found????
More than 24 hours later, it was laying on the asphalt right next to where he had taken his gloves off yesterday to dig his keys out to get in the car.
Needless to say - his day just brightened up!!! As did mine.
