You might think to yourself that an e-mail is a waste of time. And if that's all that we ever did, you might be right. But when we follow up our e-mails with petitions, phone calls, faxes, FedEx's etc. -- we get leaders' attention in major ways. In fact, this year, we had to have a conference call with the Chief Information Officer at the U.S. House of Representatives... because your faxes to Congress were tying up all of their phone lines, and basically "melting down" their whole communication structure! You think they don't REMEMBER those kinds of things happening... and want to avoid "disrupting the masses" in the future? You BET they do!
