How do you seal a porous border like that? Put up electric fences??? -- Fine with me.
NOT give them amnesty but documenting them in effect (putting them on guest visa programs) is documenting.
--Kind of like H1B and L1 visa`s ? That worked out real well for the Tech Industry !! What, 500,000 people lost their high paying jobs !!! Great !! Lets do it again !!
Dangerous or criminals go home. I think this has to be enforced more at the state level. -- If they would allow the states to do it. Great, I am for it. But I don`t think this is in the Bush proposal.
it is up to us to elect more conservative judges who will enforce CURRENT Laws. -- Great again ,if we could elect Federal Judges. Which we cannot at this time.
INS is responsible for enforcing immigration and arent they trying to send back thousands of illegals who try to come here. -- So far, under the Bush administration, he has done a bang up job here !! ( sarcasm ). Tell me, this new proposal does what to stop the illegals from coming into this country?
As Bush himself said, congress has to write the legislation for this --Pres. Bush could seal our borders with a Presidential order ! He won`t and never will.

Use the 38th Parallel between North and South Korea as a model.
Barbed wire fences a mile apart. Free-fire zone and minefield in between. Anything that moves out there dies.

The North Korean Kommies still tunnel under the DMZ, float around it, and send propaganda balloons floating over it...

But it sure slows 'em down considerably!

Or just do what Vincete' FOX does at HIS Southern borders; greet "undocumented" visitors from South America with machine-guns. Quid pro quo.

But we both know that isn't happening - so let's just celibrate diversity.

And learn Spanish.
