[history]
With the same kind of tough but hopeful talk he used to propel himself into office, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger implored California's legislators Tuesday to help him balance the state's books without raising taxes, revive the business climate and overhaul how government operates.

The real caption for #4 follows.
With Democratic Assembly Speaker Herb Wesson looking on, Republican Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger delivers his first State of the State address on Tuesday. He urged legislators to bring him any ideas to balance the budget and reorganize state government, "and the more radical the better."

"He didn't mention the word health care or anything to do with the health care crisis, the insurance crisis, the emergency room crisis, hospitals closing ... " she said.Ok I'll mention a solution to these proplems in two words ILLEGAL immigrants!

But Democratic state Sen. Sheila Kuehl, who after the recall election suggested Schwarzenegger had so little to offer about how the state should be run that some Democrats might boycott the speech, said he's still coming up short. "He didn't mention the word health care or anything to do with the health care crisis, the insurance crisis, the emergency room crisis, hospitals closing ... " she said. "And when he talked about the environment, he kind of just bounced over a couple of things, but not about air quality or water quality or asthma or anything of the things we'd associate with it."
Gee, wonder what pet projects she's eager to pony up to cut so she can properly address these issues... Oh, wait, I already know the answer... NONE.

" "We will work with this governor," Assembly Speaker Herb Wesson, D-Culver City, added. "We will cooperate with this governor. But we will not capitulate on Democratic core values that I believe are important to most Californians."
...We will not capitulate on Democratic core values[as long as there is still money in the taxpayers pocket] that [I continue to believe against all evidence] I believe are important to most Californians [who hold office as democrats.]
In conclusion, if the tooth fairy had made his/her rounds as expected we wouldn't have these problems.

How much do Wesson, Burton and Kuehl want to spend today? They remind me of little kids who want more than their allowance. MORE, MORE, MORE!!!

Wesson, Burton and Kuehl will want to spend the 30 billion that it'll take to repay the fifteen billion in bonds the state is going to sell to pay for their last spending spree.
I find it incredibly ironic that the national party is calling for balanced budgets and the state party is calling for spending us into deeper and deeper debt.

Ok I'll mention a solution to these proplems in two words ILLEGAL immigrants! Yep. That's got to be the biggest drain. Think of the money that would coming rolling in, if he said he was going to start deporting illegal immigrants, but could not do so unless money were contibuted for that specific purpose. Donated to a specific bank account where its use was closely monitored.

He urged legislators to bring him any ideas to balance the budget and reorganize state government, "and the more radical the better." Deportation for illegals would be 'radical'.
