Well, first of all your spelling of "lettuce" is beyond stupid. Also your reference to "your white or asian brothers" is beyond stupid. I have worked in agriculture to make money...not to make a living but to make money. If I had to do it to support a family, I would. I would do whatever I had to do.

I am not a professor but you call me bigot, and you are the one who wants to deport 10 to 18 million people "with no one to replace them in the work force" that is downright STUPID. That I can spell. In California, at any rate -

a) There is insufficient non-Mexican population where picking jobs are, even if you count high school summer hires. If you want to get native US workers, the premium would be astronomical.

b) Ag products have to compete with imports - Grapes, tomatos, even Gilroy is losing business to Chinese garlic.

So between the hammer of a) and the anvil of b) the only ways out are c) - Hire Mexicans or d) Large agricultural subsidies or tarriffs, or e) Give up on agriculture.

So do you prefer c) or d) or e) ?
