ICC has received more information regarding the murder of the Christian Pastor in Pakistan.
An ICC rep. spoke with the Pastor's wife and received more detail on his murder.
Rev Mukhtar had been receiving threats from Muslim extremist to close his Church.
Some of these Muslim extremist few months ago even complained to the police to ban the speakers in the Church.
The cash and necessary documents were found untouched in the pocket of the deceased; hence it cannot be the case of robbery.
The Christian community is interpreting this as act of persecution and terrorism to send a message to the Christian community.
On January 6, 2004, the local Christians of the area held protest procession against the killing of Pastor Mukhtar.
They condemned the act of terrorism and the negligence of police and law enforcement agencies.
They protested and in a procession took the death body of Rev Mukhtar to the office of District Nazim (District Administrator) of Khurampura and demanded justice from the government and arrest of the culprits before burial.
So far no one has been arrested in this connection and nobody has accepted the responsibility.
