I predict a third-party spoiler and Dean is just a trial balloon for the DNC. Be on the lookout for a candidate that will appeal to conservatives and some of the right of center. I'm thinking this is the Dem strategy, they know Dean is too left wing to win. The DNC's main problem is their image with moderates and I think they know it.

Your #913, bingo. Dean will not be the candidate to run against Bush. There is too much at stake in the Democratic party and that party is run by the Clintons.

Look for Dean to get edged out at the convention.
