I'm glad you are so optimistic. Welfare statistics prove otherwise. We have a LOT of jobs. But some Americans are too proud to do them. I, too, would gladly chuck my keyboard to work outside. Hard work never hurt anyone. But why work hard if the government gives you a check to sit on your ass?

Well, I think we can assume that the growers will be supportive of the plan and it looks like the United Farm Workers of America will probably be supportive.
What economic interests with political clout will oppose it?
