First if all, let's look at technique shall we....

My question to you was...

Did you vilify Reagan when he issued his blanket amnesty?

In other words:

Did YOU (a) when (b) occurred? (It's simple logic really. I assume you had Logic in school)

Following in that context the CORRECT context of your question to me should have been...

Did you beat you wife when she (fill in the blank)? ...

Of course, you couldn't ask the question in the same context because it would not have allowed you to use one of the oldest debating tricks that there is..... misdirection. Unfortunately for you, those old tricks don't work anymore.

So, we return to the question...

DID YOU VILIFY (and therefore REFUSE to vote for) REAGAN WHEN HE ISSUED HIS BLANKET AMNESTY?????

If the answer to this is "No" (forget that Reagan "regretted" it later - that has nothing to do with the fact that he did it), then you are hypocrite to now vilify Bush and say that you will not vote for him. You can't have it both ways.

This is so easy. (I'm sorry I have to explain things to you in elementary school language)

You have dodged the question fairly well...and never answered it. I don't suspect you ever will.

Hmmm. So it's come to this. You are going to lie (or misrepresent) you initial comment which started this dialog.

You posted, and I quote in it's entirety:

"So you despise Reagan as well??? Yes or no?"

That was the totality of your post. The entire thing. Word for word. It was not nearly as eloquent or eleborately worded as you are now in retrospect trying to make it out to be. It was one of those "yes or no" ploys - that it seems backfired to one extent or the other since that is now what you are accusing others of doing.

Did YOU (a) when (b) occurred? (It's simple logic really. I assume you had Logic in school)

Ah, but scroll up. that's not what you said at all.

Again, what you said is only this: "So you despise Reagan as well??? Yes or no?"

There were no A's, there were no B's. There were no here's or thens. Just a "yes or no" question as to whether "I despised Reagan". There was no logic in your question whatsover (and really, you know this).

Following in that context the CORRECT context of your question to me should have been...

Did you beat you wife when she (fill in the blank)? ...

Really? I saw no "when" in your original post. I already reposted it in it's entirety. Can you find the when, or the conditional statements which would make up a logical arguement. I just can't find it anywhere, because this was your post:

So you despise Reagan as well??? Yes or no?

Of course, you couldn't ask the question in the same context because it would not have allowed you to use one of the oldest debating tricks that there is..... misdirection. Unfortunately for you, those old tricks don't work anymore.

Hmmm. It seems that you are bending over backward to re-write your original post to make it look like you presented some form of non-misdirecting logical arguement instead of a time-tested "yes or no" nonsensical question.

I don't mind. I think you realize your mistake and thus our dialog has been productive.

DID YOU VILIFY (and therefore REFUSE to vote for) REAGAN WHEN HE ISSUED HIS BLANKET AMNESTY?????

That was slightly before my time.

I did not have the life experience under my belt to do so then, but if he were to do it today (or any other president for that matter), I would most certainly villify that policy and not vote for that person. And indeed I do villify it on this very day.

So I guess the short answer to your question is ... YES. With the long answer being someone more complicated and conditional. not everything can be answered with a simple yes or no, as has been pointed out and you seem to now agree on.

I think a quick read of all of my responses will show that this is probably the third or fourth time I have answered the question, but if you'd like me to answer it again ... I will do it for you.

If the answer to this is "No" (forget that Reagan "regretted" it later - that has nothing to do with the fact that he did it),

I personally find it important that he regretted it later. Honest, good men admit their mistakes. It's very telling that a man of his caliber realized that it was a mistake, and I have great respect that he realized it. So I cannot forget that.

then you are hypocrite to now vilify Bush and say that you will not vote for him. You can't have it both ways.

If *insert any president* proposed that policy today, I would indeed vilify that decision, and would not vote for that person unless they repudiated that position. Be they Bush, Reagan, or anyone else. So, I guess you're not calling me a hypocrite. Thanks.

This is so easy. (I'm sorry I have to explain things to you in elementary school language)

Had you not tried to do a spin move attack in your original post, you would not even have had to waste your time with this whole debate.

Remember, your original post was:

So you despise Reagan as well??? Yes or no?

Not really a bastion of rational debate and logic. Do you agree?

You have dodged the question fairly well...and never answered it. I don't suspect you ever will.

Hmmmm. I've answered it at least a few times, and have never dodged it. Not sure what qualifies for an answer with you. Either you don't see the answer, don't want to see the answer, don't like the answer .... I dunno.

I'm pretty confident that everyone else has seen the answer though. I can't force reading comprehension through the ethernet cable. You've either seen the answer, or you haven't. If you still haven't, i'm not sure I can help you.
