And the illegals are here because WE LET THEM IN.
By your logic, if we don't catch every bank-robber it's because WE LET THEM ROB. (By the way, your 'goofball' comment added nothing good to the debate).
To: Poohbah
"Invasion" has a specific meaning in law. Illegally crossing the border is not "invasion" in and of itself.
Here's from one recent Hadenuf posting:
... epic invasion ...
... attack on our sovereignty ...
... massive lawlessness ...
... freaking invasion ...
... titanic invasion ...

"such extreme and drastic anti-Bush statements that diminish any civil discourse on the topics at hand."
I guess I finally drank the kool-aid.

Are you going to address that comment by Sam Francis or not?
Or are you instead going to duck that uncomfortable fact by questioning my motives for posting on this thread?
I ask again, is the comment below by Sam Francis acceptable discourse?
"The civilization that we as whites created in Europe and America could not have developed apart from the genetic endowments of the creating people." SAMUEL FRANCIS, SPEECH AT THE AMERICAN RENAISSANCE CONFERENCE, MAY 1994
A simple yes or no will do. Of course, I can understand why you might not wish to deal with it.
In addition, if one seeks to LOWER the current quotas, is that not advocating restriction? Isn't "restrictionist" an appropriate adjective for those who advocate that position? Why do you object to that term if it is accurate?

Doesn't look like anything I'd say, or be comfortable with. Since I don't tout Sam Francis, I don't know why you think this is such a trump card for you. n addition, if one seeks to LOWER the current quotas, is that not advocating restriction? Well, let's carry your logic a little further... aren't the current immigration levels retrictive? In a sense, aren't any immigration laws at all, "restrictionist?" If we have no restrictions at all on immigration, don't we have open borders? So, is everyone who's not for open borders an "immigration restrictionist," in your lexicon?

Doesn't look like anything I'd say, or be comfortable with. That's one of those say-nothing phrases I hate.
When I eat ice cream too fast, I'm not "comfortable."
Bottom line: is it acceptable discourse, or not?

You should visit the live Bush Speech thread for enlighten political debate. /sarcasm
I wish there were a thousand threads like the one you just created. The other one pales in comparison, you have spoiled me.

I don't know about him, but I am too stupid to understand the implication of the statement. In other words, it is confusing and I fail to see his point.

Hey folks, 'goofball' is too strong for Free Republic now? Ok, this is way too sensitive now. Someone is asing other freepers if they are refering to blowing people up at the border, and I use the word 'goofball'?
I've had enough.

It will not help Jim Robs case against the city of Fresno if the defense can point out the racist posts on this fine Forum...Or violent ones, either. See my comments on that here.
I'm not a pacifist, but some of the violent ideas being posted here lately make me cringe.

Another effect is that a lot of posters who don't care for all of the btterness have avoided the Illegal Alien threads altogether....Civility is an enabler of the free exhcange of ideas.Sabertooth,
Those words struck a chord in me.
I have stayed away from the illegal alien threads for that very reason.
In the spirit of what you wrote above, I've had the following quote on my FR profile page for a long time now:
"The slaves of power mind the cause they have to serve, because their own interest is concerned; but the friends of liberty always sacrifice their cause, which is only the cause of humanity, to their own spleen, vanity, and self-opinion."
- William Hazlitt (1778 - 1830)
All the best to you.

A CRIMINAL OFFENSE has been commited. My sister makes a wonderful pineapple upsidedown cake and is a decent hardworking person as well. But if she BREAKS the LAW then she has to PAY the PRICE!
There's a list somewhere, of groups that are excluded from having to obey the law -- blacks, Hispanics, homosexuals, the disabled (alias "other abled," "differently abled"), congressmen, illegal aliens, etc. I know that "hardworking people" have been permanently excluded from it, but otherwise the list is changed so often, that you might want to make sure that "makers of wonderful pineapple upsidedown cake" aren't on it.
