If I remember my history correctly, the Cotton Gin reduced the demand for slave labor.

It could be that once labor costs increase, "invention" will arise from "necessity."

Either way, jobs for illegals will disappear (they are too expensive and/or become obsolete due to technology).

This might be a trojan horse for illegals.

Hmmm...the cotton gin only solve the issue of picking cotton and thank god it did. Ever heard of the term "Your in high cotton"? The key phrase you say is "It could be" that is a futuristic hope of something that is not necessarily reality. So, since you gave me a "Could be" I will give you one back. Could be that if we don't solve this immigration issue there will be as many none tax paying workers in the US as Americans in the future taking jobs Americans are killing to get a chance at while their un-employment and SS benefits are being taxed to pay for the existence of the illegal immigrants (none tax paying workers) who continue to refuse to be recognized as legal workers. Now that's a real trojan horse!

Thanks for the reply!
