Dawg, I'm sorry you think that Mexican illegal aliens should be allowed to bring down wages for American workers. Can I send you the bill for what illegal immigration is costing us here in California? George Bush doesn't even have the nerve to send the bill for billions to his buddy Vicente Fox - he doesn't want to hurt his feelings. Why should Americans lose their jobs to illegal aliens and then be forced to support them? California's problems are not due to "illegals" but to ridiculous restrictions on businesses. Texas has "illegals" too, you know, but the difference is that overwhelmingly, as opposed to California, we do not despise them and actually enjoy having Mexican immigrants to our state. And because of it they are polling almost 50/50 these days and trending even more GOP constantly... especially as they get away from the border towns and more integrated with the states. Californian "conservatives", like you, have chosen to whine and complain and hate all Mexicans in your state. Oh well. Good riddance.

I think you are the one with the problem, and most people that are here on this forum are very upset with the mexican invasion of our country ,maybe all is lost in the lone star state but the majority of AMERICANS dont want a third world country taking over this country , and as most of us know a WHOLE LOT OF LAZY AMERICANS FOUGHT AND GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR THIS COUNTRY , you are the one with the problem .

"I wonder how Arnold is going to deal with the next 10 million to join us in California?"So far he's done ok with the driver's license issue. More needs to be done at the border though, and I don't know who has the guts to do it, as it seems they are all pandering for votes. Although Arnold probably doesn't need their vote.

hate Hate? Who said anything about hate? YOU. I don't hate Mexicans. Many of my friends are of Mexican descent, but the difference is that their parents came here LEGALLY, and didn't ask citizens to support them. They resent illegal immigration too, because they're also sick of paying the bills. Their kids can't even get an after school job because the illegals take them all.

I wonder just how many people signed up accounts a year ago and didn't use them until today where they suddenly popped in to bash Bush, while signing up more accounts today to bash Bush. I can think of at least one example (or do we count each account seperately?)

Today our President gave away to lawbreaking mooches, 8-10 million of them, just gave away everything this country stands on. The backbreaking work of our ancestors who were proud to become citizens!!! Exactly correct. Set up and sold out. Today is his "no new taxes" moment. He lost the election today.

I don't see this as the case at all. If a job opportunity exists, why would the American not be more competitive and able to fill the job over the immigrant? "More competitive"?
The fact that illegals and legals are getting jobs in the US is because they underbid the US citizens.
They are willing to do a specific job for less money and benefits.
Don't believe it? Expell all immigrant workers, illegal and legal.
Then you will find out what the job is actually worth in the US market as employers increase wages and benefits enough to attract employees.
For enough money, you, me and everyone else on this forum would pick lettuce.
Before you protest that higher wages for picking lettuce would increase the cost of your salad I remind you of a fact that is almost completely ignored by our business owners and central planners:
That is the fact that we live in a socialized welfare state where by law even illegal aliens are entitled to "free" medical care and the entire range of taxpayer funded social services including interpreters and additional teachers to handle english as a second language.
Your choice is to pay the true cost of the labor in the product you buy or subsidize with your social service taxdollars the employers who hire these people.
The other edge of that sword is that the US workers who won't pick lettuce for $5 per hour are going to make a living somehow. They will either be on the dole or making a living with a gun.
Either way they won't be paying taxes, but we will to support them or lock them up.
Pay now, or pay later.
But you are going to pay.
Regards
J.R.

What you said:
This single surreal bit of commentary sums up the level of ignorance surrounding the entire immigration issue; coast lines ARE borders dearie, so Florida shares a border with everyone with a desire for a chance at a better life, and access to a boat.
My response:
Or people who have boats who would like to fish Cuba and bring a few manatees along for the trip.
My implication being that I'd like to travel to Cuba and fish there. Obviously, under conditions that would be favorable to both Cubans and me.
You responded:
Smuggling is an old profession.
And then:
I guess you see no difference between an individual escaping a murderous regime like Castro's, and Haitian financial refugees.
Very leftist of you.
Huh?

I've been told GWB's nickname @ the Skull and Bones Org. is
"TEMPORARY". Well he surely lived up to it today. Like his dad, who gave up Clinton. He'll give us DEAN! GOD help us!

I think "W's" lead will be large enough without our protest...I don't think we're doing a Perot on Bush at all, we should have that impact...but of course I do not want a Dem in, that is why I'm hopinh we make good enough strides in the primary but I am willing to push it for the General if we have to

Bush is more worried about employing Mexicans than employing out of work Americans. One year later.
