Look, first of all, Free Republic is not America. Free Republic is not even the mainstream of the Republican Party. I like Free Republic and so do you- but this must be remembered in any discussion. Are you really so foolish as to believe that things would be better with Howard Dean in the White House? They'd only be better in the sense that you all here would get to play opposition again and, as we all know (or should know) playing oppostion is a hell of a lot more fun then being elected. After all, after you get elected, you have to govern.

If you believe that a "put troops on the border" policy will sell at election time, then you're as deluded as the people on Democratic Underground who think that Dennis Kusinich can win the election because he'll motivate people who haven't voted before.

You're right. Bush is also the President of all of the car thieves and carjackers in the United States. He has to appeal to them as well.
