Well, to be fair, none of the specific proposals have been passed yet or even unveiled.
This is clearly not a blanket amnesty (something which Ronald Reagan signed, FWIW)- but rather something... else.
The problem is this folks: we need to win this election. At all costs. Frankly, I think that the records and such might be useful later.

Lots of people feel the same. However, I'm still looking for the difference between the two major parties. This doesn't help me see the difference.

Also, I'm seeing the phrase "without penalty" ...I'm hearing otherwise. There is a penalty for those who want to fess up and play ball.
This problem is one of the toughtest I've seen. I'm told W's proposal will mirror proposals put together by AZ. Reps Flake and Kolbe, with McCain's support. Flake I trust with the issue. We'll see.
