I think in fairness Spiff sees a determined effort by the evolutionists, as I do, to denigrate, and destroy a belief in God through this teaching known as "evolution".

The problem is simple - it's a teaching that actually encourages a young man or woman to see themselves as a "god". So, it's seen by us Christians as a competing faith system. But, it takes awhile to wade through the spin if you're on your own.

How so? Evolution is nothing more than the best theory science knows of to describe the process as to how species change over time. It only adresses the "how," it is completely agnostic (for want of a better word) as to the "why." The "why" is best left to theologians.

Evolution does no such thing. I'm not sure how you come to that conclusion.

...So, it's seen by us Christians as a competing faith system...

Seen incorrectly

Are there any other "faith systems" that can make true prediections about the outcome of laborotory experiments? the findings of fieldwork?

For example, using the ToE, one can predict that any retroposon found in the same place in the genome of a whale and a cow, will also be in the same place in the genome of a hippo.

For example, because of the ToE, we can predict that no mammal will ever be found in Cambrian rocks.

Guess what? These, and innumerable other predictions based on ToE have all proved to be true! There have been *thousands* of opportunities to show it to be false, but no-one's been able to.

Until someone comes up with a theory with as much explanatory power, ToE is the best we have, and should be taught as the current state of science.
