..... thats a long way to say "moderate conservative" which is why he was so popular in the first place. dont put that liberal lable with him. you may as well call TR a Treehugger.

TR was a radical liberal; Reagan passed an amnesty for illegal aliens, presided over a large growth in government, "saved" Social Security by raising taxes, and presided over, with Volker, a massive depreciation of the dollar.
