In my opinion that vote was one of the most dastardly decisions by Americans in my lifetime.

Ross Perot's congenital hatred for the Bush family and Democrats' Nazi-like demonization of the economy fooled too many people.

The American sheeple class, mostly women, need a strong leader to persuade them how to vote.

There are lots of explanations, but the bottom line is it was a mistake. Democracies can be wrong, but I think the "pundits" are afraid to admit that. They just pretend that whatever the voters decide is right. Well it often isn't, and without good people to keep us on track well we saw what happened.
