To me his middle finger looks extended...but others say his fingers are crossed...I'll leave that to people with younger eyes....btw...there is no freedom of speech in the military..LOL

Two observations:
1. One doesn't HAVE freedom of speech in the military.
2. The gentleman does not seem have the air/stance of a PFC
