He's a PFC, no question whatsoever, although if your not used to the DCUs it could be hard to read at that angle. As far as his bearing, I'd offer two observatations.

He appears confident, even in the face of overwhelming evil and terrible personal danger. From that (and the wings and the patch) it is obvious that he is an airborne soldier.

He's not afraid to brazenly stab his enemies in the back while standing right in front of them. From this clever, sneaky maneuver, I would assume that he is MI, and one with potential. (That's just a guess, of course.)

It's hard to see his rank, but I think you are correct....I wonder if this was in Afghanistan...I know some of the 10th Mtn posed for pics with her.
