Apparently, she want to dictate who and who cannot participate in the Constitutional process. How Un-Constitutional.

It id, however, the discussion of these matters, particularly the dysfunctionality of the kind of strict, supposedly Islamic code that gives women no right to ever move out of the house, that is important. As Attaturk pointed out years ago, one of the stupidest aspects of this kind of supposedly strict, return to the 600's Islam, is that it throws away half of a people's human resources.

It is no surprise that Afghan women are again leading the movement to establish an open and tolerant Muslim society About as big an oxymoron as you can get...

Now that there is a chance for reconstruction, the United States must deliver on its promises. So according to this peace activist, the only use of the USA should be to support and supply Afghanistan reconstruction. Who pays for this? Who keeps it up? I tell ya, some of these "peace activists" are really ignorant.

Apparently she is well aware that if some of these chauvinistic thugs are allowed to hold power, they will continue to brutally oppress her sex.
Sounds like a smart woman to me.

"Throughout the 23 years of war that began with the Afghans siding with the United States to defeat communism, champions for Afghan democracy remained confident that following their period of darkness, America would stand strong in helping to establish democratic institutions. But the defeat of the Soviet Union brought only abandonment. Now with America again wavering, the time has come to decide what exactly it is trying to accomplish in Afghanistan."
Classic left wing political wedge propaganda says that the gender gap in the U.S.A. electorate can be exploited anytime the West tries to improve the conditions of Muslims anywhere. Notice how the author's history starts only 23 years ago, coincidently when America had strategic reasons to be in Afghanistan. But a die-hard feminist - who married an Afghani and lived in Afghanistan named Phyllis Chesler, says that Afghan culture has treated woman as second class citizens for centuries.
