It doesn't bother me that much that most of their workers appear to be mainly Spanish speakers. What bothers me is that there appears to be a bit of segregation (whether self-segregation or not) going on.
I've gone to the El Pollo Locos (
http://elpolloloco.com/) in Atwater and Glendale dozens of times. I might have seen one or two "Anglos," one or two blacks, and the aforementioned Armenian, working there. That's it. Why is that? Don't whites or blacks apply to work at those locations? Are they discouraged from applying? Do they find it difficult to work there for, oh, one reason or another?
