My point was that it is incumbent upon the country whose laws are being broken to take the appropriate corrective measures. Most FReepers are constantly complaining that the Mexican government is doing very little to stop its citizens from entering the U.S. illegally. Well, that's because entering the U.S. illegally is not against the law in Mexico.

Well, it's a strawman argument if you try to apply it to me, because I fully realize the problem with Mexico's laws and policies. Far from being illegal for their underclass to enter the US illegally, it's actually encouraged. There are Mexican government programs designed to encourage members of their unwanted underclass to come here; they even show them how to gain illegal entry to the US.

Now that the gavel has dropped on this travesty (courtesy of Our Glorious Leader's speech today), we should all brace for the next shoe. (pardon the mixed metaphor)

Once the "guest worker" insanity is cast into law, the next step will be for the "guest workers" to be granted "disadvanted minority" status, with all that bring. In other words, hiring preferences, special "programs", "incentives", and "entitlements."

You heard it here first.
