**There is no plan, none that I know of anyway, to award SDS benefits to illegal aliens; the very idea is actually laughable since by their very nature, illegal aliens who worked in the US can't actually prove that they paid into the SSA.

From all reports, and per Congressman Smith's office, this plan WILL be presented by Bush on Wednesday. It WILL include SSI benefits to ILLEGAL ALIENS and their beneficiaries who have worked ILLEGALLY in the United States.

**I know some illegal immigrants as well, and lots and lots of native-born Americans who think worse of this country than any one of the illegal immigrants do.

What ILLEGAL ALIEN would not love a country that blindly hands out benefits to them, regardless of their ILLEGAL status??

Every US citizen who looked at their last paycheck stub of 2003 noticed the amount taken out for taxes. I am 24 years old. $15,000 was taken from me to support our government. I am EXTREMELY PROUD to be a citizen of the greatest country in the world! I do, however, think very poorly of the blindness to which our government displays when handing out cash to people who ARE NOT citizens of our country, while men serving in the armed forces to protect the United States are purchasing their own equipment to survive a war WE sent them into.

Hopefully NONE!!! If I have to pay in $15,000 again this year - 38% of which goes to pay for ILLEGAL ALIEN BENEFITS, I'd almost rather move to Mexico.

Quite simply, we the young taxpaying, conservative citizens of the United States of America no longer wish to bear the burden supporting the medical, educational, and now possibly the retirement benefits awarded to ILLEGAL ALIENS!!!

Probably about the same degree of effort that West Germany made to keep its citizens from entering East Germany illegally.

This is just plain silly. You don't make an "effort" to deal with a problem that doesn't exist. I don't know of too many Americans who spend their days and fortunes scheming for a way to sneak into Mexico.
