unfortunately, many of the seperatists are raving socialists. Purge them from the movement and I'm all for it, speaking as an exile of the Jacobite Rebellions. Capitalism is a Scottish invention, after all. Of course, my clan was one of the "bloody dozen" border clans, the Rievers. It's wonderful to find that you come from a long line of horse thieves (sanctified by tradition and religion, so long as it's done between Lamas and Candlemas). Yes, that was my impression too when I was over there a decade ago. Still, that doesn't mean that most of Scotland is extreme socialist. If Scotland separates, it won't just be the separatists who separate; it'll be their entire society.

One can only hope that there'd be enough of a backlash against the Orwellian state that's in the making over there that an independent Scotland would deliberately start itself off on a somewhat saner path.
