He didn't say it was up to him. He said the opposite. He said it's NOT going to be up to him.

Seriously though, has there ever been a more transparently pathetic panderer than Howard Dean to hit the campaign trail? No wonder Gore's all happy again. Next to Dean he looks as sincere as Mother Teresa!

Well, he could have said that he especially likes that part in the Bible where Clinton found that oral sex isn't sex.
You know, 1 Phallatians 3:7.

Which part of the Bible can you find "it depends on what the meaning of is is"?

Fineman: If the military would get Osama bin Laden in its sights, do you think that they should kill him on sight?
(Dean)I think that is not my call. I'm not going to get into that. Ok, Dean-old-bean, that statement is wonderfully indicative of your impotence should you ever be the Commander In Cheif of our military.
You DO know that's one of the principal jobs of the President, don't you, Doctor Dean?

SO in theory what you are saying is that one can never really know if they're saved? Why follow him then, if you have to consistantly put yourself down?

how much do you want to bet that he acknowledges God in the sense that if he doesn't pay lip service to the concept he would stand even less of a chance of getting elected?

Phony, lying, manipulative, cynical, opportunistic, con man.
I may be one of those "guys from the South" that Howie wants to impress, and I am not impressed. He is coming across to me the same way that Bill Clinton did in 1991 ... as a complete fraud, a liar, a swindler, a 'say anything to try to get their vote' manipulator.
And he is messing with the core beliefs, the faith and the values, that drive the lives of us "God, Guns, and Gays" Southerners.
To hell with him. Anyone that believes this con man is a hopeless thrall to the dark cynicism of the left.

Dean)I think that is not my call. I'm not going to get into that. This could be Dean's Michael Dukakis-Kitty-Dukakis moment.
You remember, where he couldn't bring himself to say what he would do if Kitty was raped?
Does this guy have a jones for bin Laden?

To: sinkspur
don't know of his jones, but he seems to lack stones.
If I were running, this is what I'd say in response to the same questions:
"I do not believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God or my own personal Savior. I have not yet met the man, and that is what it would take to convince me on such an important decision. Furthermore, I do not believe in God, though I have begun to strongly suspect there is one."
Now, that wasn't so very hard to do.
It might keep me from getting elected, but it is honest, which allows me to keep my dignity.

I guess you don't understand the concept of "he who is first will be last and he who is last will be first". It's called a "paradox".
To: woofie
That would be in the Book of Dissembling.

1 John 5:13
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
There seems to be an emphasis on knowing for certain that one has eternal life in this verse.
To: King Prout
That wouldn't keep me from voting for you. I'd view you as principled and not overly closed-minded.
But, now I need to know more about your platform, of course. ;-)
