Who should it be? "A Texan or Texans of uncommon character who demonstrate leadership and vision; who exemplify Texas traits of trailblazing, an independent streak and staring down adversity; who have affected/influenced many lives; and who have created news. The recognition is for actions in the past year, as opposed to a lifetime achievement award. The recipient(s) must have been alive for at least a portion of the last calendar year. And we are looking for people whose actions have reached beyond their field of expertise." |
