[history]
THE OLD, TIRED IDEA that America has only a finite number of jobs -- and that we must guard them zealously against raids from cheap foreign labor -- has been making a remarkable comeback. The only difference is that its upside-down view of the economy has plumbed new depths.

While I agree MonroeDNA's 'Soros Plant' and 'Aw Jeez' posts are intended to stifle discussion of views he doesn't like, I believe he sincerely believes those views he opposes are bad for the country. i.e. MonroeDNA cares about the country, though I don't agree with his posting tactics.
But everything you've said is true of Texas_Dawg. His loyalties are elsewhere.

Appreciate the post from Barron's. It seems we have the same ideas if I read the articles intent correctly.
If they are referring to the incessant whining from the IT community over everything that remotely affects their industry then we are soul mates in aggravation toward the obnoxious babies of the 21st century.
First it was wages, then lack of schools, then too many schools, then no jobs (even when there were some)........(geeez! I don't want to move!), then wages again and now they are angry and wonder why companies are outsourcing????????????????????????????
Duh!!!!!!!

It's not just "China's benefit." Think about it. A multinational economic agency which regulates trade, manufacturing capacity and raw materials consumption. Sounds like the U.N. to me. Oh, I readily concede the benefit in fact accrues to many countries beyond China.
But I don't believe for one second that Texas Dawg cares about anything beyond China.

Since you are incapable of answering #156 with a direct factual answer This is an interesting tactic. Someone answers you as to how your tariffs/taxes on American businesses are detrimental, as I did, and you just ignore their answer and just keep asking. Weird.

What amazes me is that there has yet to be one direct answer to my posting number 156. Not one. He demands a yes or no answer like he owns the board, yet fails to offer anything but supposition or nonsence in reply. The troll alert is on full. DU would be proud of the boy.

But I don't believe for one second that Texas Dawg cares about anything beyond China. You still don't have an "About" page. Have you ever been to Texas? Most Texans support economic freedom like I do. That's why the Democratic party is dead there.

What amazes me is that there has yet to be one direct answer to my posting number 156. Not one. #164 (among several others). Are you meaning to lie or are you just that much drunker now?

"Someone answers you as to how your tariffs/taxes on American businesses are detrimental, as I did, and you just ignore their answer and just keep asking."
Yet you have yet to explain how said restrictions, taxes or tariffs cause injury to an American capitalist doing business within our own borders. Nor site one factual piece of evidence in support of your claim. Supposition is not fact. You presented a "what if" scenario, not a factual one.
156 or begone troll...

What kind of business did you run? It's an amazing testament to America that people as dumb as you can own businesses. Seriously... you're not very smart. Well, you do live in Florida after all. That might be part of it.

Yet you have yet to explain how said restrictions, taxes or tariffs cause injury to an American capitalist doing business within our own borders. Are you really asking me how federal tariffs/taxes on American businesses hurt those businesses? You're joking, right?

He-he. Economic progress and more jobs is like a cross to a vampire, to guys like Starwind.
Starwind and arete are the sad-sack tag-team of FR: Doom, Doom, Doom.
And, if the news is good today, well, there's always doom tomorrow.

Pokin' a stick at the neanderthals again, I see. It's so much fun. I live and work with very successful happy people so Beck_isright is a type of person I can honestly say I've never spent much time around. I'm pretty sure he is making all this up though.
