[history]
THE OLD, TIRED IDEA that America has only a finite number of jobs -- and that we must guard them zealously against raids from cheap foreign labor -- has been making a remarkable comeback. The only difference is that its upside-down view of the economy has plumbed new depths.

Against non-capitalist nations, yes. Which is a restriction on American businesses. Come on, now... you don't really think that by raising tariffs on foreign products that it hurts only foreigners do you? If so, maybe you need a little more of those "book" smarts.

"That's funny. Earlier in the thread I told you I've disagreed with GWB on several issues. I just don't despise the man like the FRinge does. Then again, I'm not admittedly an unhappy person, like most of them are (Starwind being a prime example)."
Starwind, unhappy? Uh, no. On a more serious note, being a "bot" does not mean just blindly following W. It means following others without an apparent knowledge of subjects up for discussion.
Since you have never been a capitalist, your expertise on the subject is dubious at best.

I'm also opposed to slavery. But are you opposed to theft? You know taking someone elses property in violation of your promises and giving it away?

Do you support enforcing subscription agreements? Do you support prosecuting IP theft? Still waiting. Haha. I like this idea that I'm supposed to answer your questions and then you just keep asking me questions while refusing to answer mine. Sorry. Debates don't work that way.

Since you have never been a capitalist, your expertise on the subject is dubious at best. So unless you've owned a business, you are not a capitalist? Now that's a funny definition. You are admittedly for restrictions on capitalism in America.

A simple yes or no. Show us all what an upstanding American you are.

See #144.
Questions in debates work where one person asks a question and the other answers. You don't just ask a question, receive my answer, decide you don't like the answer, and then just keep asking me questions without answering my question (which was actually the first question proposed, but I was polite enough to answer your question first, without asking you to answer mine.) I think most would agree this is very logical and fair.

American ingenuity more competitive by rolling back anti-business regulations.
Our selected officials will not do anything but add regulation and complicate the tax system even more.

I think its useless to talk to you. You have no experience in owning a business, running a business, or even doing anything at all related to international business.
Yet you are the biggest attack 'dog' here on FR.
Seeing how you are probably fom Texas, maybe you will understand this saying: "You are all hat, no cattle".
You are a master at attacking, but are intellectually dishonest. You cannot even read and honestly respond to my posts. You just skip the reading (and thinking) part, and just start posting.
There is nothing worse than a know it all, except a know it all who has done nothing.
Your stupid attacks belittle those of us with real experience.
To: Starwind
I'm sorry you are so unhappy, Starwind. It explains your economic positions perfectly.

" Which is a restriction on American businesses."
What is the direct restriction on American business?
"Come on, now... you don't really think that by raising tariffs on foreign products that it hurts only foreigners do you?"
For 150 years, we paid the bills of the monster known now as ".gov" on the tariff on foreign products while capitalism emerged from an agrarian to an industrial dynamo in this nation.
From this one statement, this board can only surmise that you support the taxation on earnings and profit which penalizes the success of American citizens instead of requiring equal treatment in exchange of goods and services from foreign powers. Sounds to me like, if we are to follow your logic, you would prefer to allow an international body to dictate the sovereign affairs of the United States in violation of the U.S. Constitution. Shame on you...

Not everyone has the ambition to prepare for the future.
or the wealth to pump money into a bloated education system that is more interested in diversity and socialism.

Hence, since you will, or have to this point, debated me....
Do you agree with the legal protections of the enforcements of subscription agreements and private capitalist property?

Maui_hawaii, would you describe yourself as a very happy person? I'm just wondering because if you are not happy, why would I want to come over to your side on this or any other matter? I have thoroughly noted (and have had numerous conservative, capitalist FReepers agree) that the protectionist FRinge at FR is often a very unhappy group of people whereas the conservative pro-capitalist crowd at FR is almost always very happy (and open about it). So I'm just wondering if you would describe yourself as a very, very happy person.
