LONDON - Police arrested a man aboard a Moscow metro who claimed to be top terror suspect Osama Bin Laden.

But instead of bundling him off to Guantanamo Bay, they handed the New Year's Eve detainee to psychiatrists, the BBC reported.

Officers swooped on the Kursk Ring Line Station following reports that a man was making a nuisance of himself there during the New Year's Eve revels.

Asked for his identification, he announced he was America's most wanted man.

Officers, not convinced they had the biggest catch on their hands since Saddam Hussein was captured in Iraq, summoned psychiatric assistance.
