You may be right I voted for Ike. Every one I know voted for Ike and this is not the same party. It has gone right and we have not. Read the platform from then to now and it is not the same party. The people I know seem to be more for no govt. less laws, cut down the war stuff. Maybe I would like Choate as he thought that way, didn't he? I think I have been at loose ends since Nixon who I also voted for.It is like I believe in the Capitalist system but I do not want anyone like Enron running the water works in town. I trust the people over that type big business. It is a mixed bag of thinking for this day and age.

If you think the GOP has gone too far to the right but you "have not", then you are not going to enjoy this forum unless your intention in coming here was to cause trouble. This site is for right-wingers, many consider the GOP to be too far to the left for their tastes. You are not going to find any friends here that think the GOP is too conservative.
If you were distressed about Enron, then I do hope you didn't vote for Clinton? It was his selling favors to Enron that helped them get so large and powerful on such a flimsy foundation. Bush got into office and wouldn't do them political favors... THAT is what caused Enron to collapse.
