Well before there was any sign of EgyptAir 990's wreckage out of Kennedy Airport I thought about that flight when this was reported
FNC is now reporting there has been heavy fog there in the last few days .. but not sure if this was what caused the crash

Way back I have flown thru hurricanes in early unpressurized twin prop airliners and made it with no problemo. Worst trip: stewardesses crying, passengers going nuts, but we made it, but wingtip almost hit the airstrip at Lauderdale.
"Fog" is no big deal for a modern jetliner; windshear, icing, castrophic failure; that is different.
Egypt still denies that Egypt Air crashed by that Fruitcake of Islamics pilot was not a terrorist incident.
