Some of the most disruptive consequences of the alert have been felt by BA's flight 223, which leaves Heathrow at 3.05pm daily for Dulles airport in Washington. Why not just change the flight number? Then everything would be okay! </DU>

The game is afoot. I hope we're doing more than simply scaring them off by this very public display. Even if we are not, it shows that we are adapting our defense to meet their tactics. Its seems that we still retain the initiative.

The authorities are now focusing on BA's daily flight 223. Paul Beaver, a defence analyst, said: "The intelligence is very, very precise which is why this one flight has been cancelled. We have got intelligence, I am told, that there was a plan to take the aircraft and destroy it over Washington or fly it into something. Washington is the definite target." Ping

Even though none of the feared Christmas attacks on America materialised, the effect is being felt around the world. Typical lib-press bias. The level orange alert is useless bother because no terror attacks took place. Bush got his undies in a bunch over nothing.
These freaks will be the first to howl Bush didn't do enough if there is another attack.
