Reminds me of a joke: The dumbest Texan just moved to Oklahoma. Raised the IQ in both states!

No, the original joke is that if you took the two southern tiers of counties in Iowa and appended them to Missouri, you would raise the IQ of both states. That is probably true. Texans are stealing Iowanisms. Stranger things have happened, although I grant you that while only one of the states has oil, and only one of the states has military facilities to speak of, both have cattle.

By the way, I now know why northwestern Iowa is so GOP. A meteor bashed the place (40 miles wide or something, with the epicenter in Manson), and the ensuing crater filled up with topsoil pushed into it by glaciers, and thus became one of the most fertile places on the planet, and bred rich GOP farmers, living off the fat of the land.

And there you have it.
