I think Neil and Alex live in the States now. Geddy still lives in Toronto.

The Trees is an awesome song, especially the live version. Rush definately is one of the best Rock Bands ever.

You think that Alex's 33 year old son feels weird calling Alex's 30 year old wife 'Mom'?

I especially like their earlier music. It was heavily influenced by Ayn Rand. They are one of the few bands that had a consistent conservative message.

Actually, the story isn't well written. Michelle is the son's wife. Alex's wife is named Charlene, I believe.

I remember being a Rush fanatic in high school. I liked them too, especially Subdivisions. The Burn Outs used to sit in class stoned and draw (endlessly) on their textbook covers. They would draw "Rush" album covers. The other one was Pink Floyd's dark side of the moon. One kid never paid attention, he was too stoned all the time. One day, our teacher showed us a spectrum. You know (ROY G BIV?)
RED
ORANGE
YELLOW
GREEN
BLUE / INDIGO
VIOLET
The kid sat amazed as he stared at the screen of colors, and shouted:
""Whoa! Welcome to the Machine!"

Sounds like they should have gone to Karioke night somewhere.

Sung to 'The Trees'.
There is unrest down in Naples
Alex Lifeson's drunk as hell
He's belligerent and angry
And his son is drunk as well.
Now the sheriff and the bouncers
Demand that Lifeson leave the stage
But for a lifelong Libertarian
This just puts him in a rage
So they fight him
and they cuff him
and they throw him down the stairs
But when he screams "Opression!"
The sheriff doesn't even care
So if you're Libertarian
And you hate authority
Be wise enough to get drunk
Outside Collier County.

I'm not sure but I think that is the son's wife? No? If not then Alex's wife is younger than his son lol.

I think that is actually the son's wife.

I've lived in this county for over 20 years. My impression of the Collier County Sheriff's Office is that it is a very efficient, very professional agency, from top to bottom. I have a great deal more confidence in their word than the word of some maggot-infested drunks.
To: Pest
Thanks, I read the article several times wondering about the wife.

It had to be "Dark Side of the Moon."That was from Wish You Were Here. The cover art alone was worth the price of the album- I wonder if Hypgnosis is still in business...

Trailer Park Boys: Season 3 Episode #5
Bubbles is beside himself with excitement when he hears that the legendary Canadian rock band RUSH will be playing a concert in town. RUSH is Bubbles's favourite rock band, and Alex Lifeson is his favourite guitar player. He asks Ricky to hold his spot in the box office line-up while Bubbles goes to the vet with his sick cat. Julian sees the concert as a great opportunity to make some cash selling dope, with the proceeds going toward paying for the cruise ("Let's set sail; we're not going to jail.")
Meanwhile, back at the park, Mr. Lahey and Randy's plans to go camping are thwarted when Trailer Park owner Barbara Lahey finds out that the garbage hasn't been properly sorted for recycling. Mr. Lahey blames Ricky, vows revenge and shows up at the box office. Using Randy to divert Ricky's attention, Mr. Lahey sneaks into the line-up and buys up all of the remaining RUSH tickets. When Bubbles arrives from the vet, he is devastated to learn he has no ticket to the concert. But, thanks to a local radio station promotion, he has one more shot at it. The first caller to answer the question: "What is Alex Lifeson's real last name?" will win the right to be Alex's guitar tech. Bubbles knows the answer; he knows everything about RUSH. Unfortunately, he blurts it out in front of Lahey and Randy, who are the first to call in. Randy wins the contest to be Alex's guitar tech. Bubbles is completely distraught.
But Ricky comes up with his own plan to make amends. He goes to the hotel where Alex is staying, kidnaps him and drives him back to the park. Julian can't believe it - even for Ricky, this defies the bounds of stupidity. He talks Alex into not pressing charges if Julian gets him back to his hotel unharmed. Julian hears that Cory and Trevor have a found a way into the concert via the sewers. Inside, Randy and Mr. Lahey catch the Boys and threaten to have them forcibly removed. But Julian convinces Alex that Bubbles should be Alex's guitar tech, not Randy. Hearing Bubbles's impassioned plea, Alex agrees. In a scene taped during the actual RUSH concert at Toronto's Air Canada Centre, Bubbles and Alex Lifeson unite on stage in front of 15,000 screaming fans. After the concert, Alex drives the Boys back to the park, where Alex and Bubbles play an acoustic version of the band's classic anthem, Closer To The Heart.
