Otherwise, they'll just be suqeaky wheels regarded as "extremists" and "nut-jobs" with no influence whatsoever, other than as "spoilers" which will cause Republican candidates to lose to democRATS.

If enough Republicans lose enough elections because they lost the support of conservative voters, the Republican Party will have to start moving in our direction to win. It's elementary.

But then, I keep underestimating the capacity of Republicans to learn exactly the wrong lesson.

I REALLY fear the "US Patriot Act" and Homeland Security under Hillary's control

My fear exactly. And the best reason why conservatives and constitutionalists should oppose this bill. And exactly why we shoudl demand that no American citizen be arbitrarily declared an "enemy combatant" and just whisked down the memory hole. Can you imagine what Hitlery would do with that? We wouldn't be arguing here, any of us, because we'd all be locked in some tiny, smelly rathole somewhere in teh name ;f "national security." Heil Hillary!

Some things that it does, like increasing communication among our agencies responsible for fighting terrorism, are good, but many provisions are extermely dangerous. Repeal it and then reenact the useful provisions separately.

Bush has give many handouts to the American people it would be very difficult if not impossible for them to take them back.

Don't you understand that it's a clever strategy to advance the collapse of the entitlement programs to a much nearer date? Brilliant. Obviously. Far too brilliant for peons like us to understand. Only geniuses like nopardons and the other Bushies are even capable of understanding the outlines of it.

In other words, "serious people" can only focus on one problem at a time. Your ideal "grown-up" candidate will worry about restoring our constitutional republic if and when the war on terror is over - and not a moment before. Shouldn't we expect a real leader to be able to multi-task?

He should seek to defend the Constitution on all fronts.

Did you know that President Bush has become the first president since the long-forgotten James Garfield not to veto a SINGLE spending bill?

IOW, for you professional Republican Kool-Aid drinkers, even Komrade Klintoon used the veto pen to stop Federal spending more often than your beloved W.

I'd be happy if I could push W to the right!

In addition to the other things I have listed, how about working to get him and his party to do something to control our borders. We don't need to give amnesty to illegal alieans or give them driver's licenses; we need to expel them and tighten our borders.

Some immigration is one thing, but just effectively throwing our borders open as this administration has done is another thing altogether.

Meanwhile, we throw back about 99 percent of political asylum applicants.

In other words, Conservatives are now the "Blacks" of the Republican Party!!!

The Dimmycraps treat the blacks better than the GOP treats conservatives.

Whatever did we do without FDR?

Maybe live in freedom the way earlier Americans did. Maybe live in even greater prosperity thann we are experiencing now. And maybe actually defend ourselves.

That's who you neocons look up to now isn't it?

Yep, that's their guy -- Fascist Dictator Roosevelt, President for Life of the USSA.

Learn a new word, you leftover KNOW-NOTHING.

Try following that advice yourself. You can dish it out big time, but you sure can't take it. Not even a teeny tiny amount of it.

And now, I'll stop this stupidity

We should all be so lucky!!!

B.S.
By then, the goofballs who use this reasoning will have ruined the whole country.
You wanna see changes? Then get involved in the party.
Sacrifice a little bit of your time and fortune.
Otherwise, don't whine because it sucks.

Stuff it, TBP.

Brilliant argument. Devastating. Any more?

Read #145.

Can't. It's been removed.

I am bored with you

So the world exists to ensure that you are not bored? That is an interesting cosmology. I haven't believed that since I was about two.

For example, Howard Phillips supported Bob Barr earlier campaigns, and I also supported him.

Yeah.
And today, Bob Barr is an ACLU lawyer.
Go figure.

"I didn't call you names, I didn't personally attack you

That is a baldfaced lie. Go back and read your own posts. Your entire posting on this thread has been abusive, name calling, and totally free of any substance whatsoever. I have been attacked many times on this forum. I'm a big boy; I can take it. Evidently, you can't."

You have exposed a paten here. I knew a person like that 25 yrs ago and time makes no difference. That's a fact!

That poster is a total attack person that implies how superior it is over everyone else. Ignore it...

I've found that many in the Constitution Party do support conservatives in other political parties. For example, Howard Phillips supported Bob Barr earlier campaigns, and I also supported him. Many support Ron Paul. In the past I have supported the campaigns of conservative Republicans such as Marsha Blackburn.

And were active in supporting the drive to get the recall on the ballot in California

But don't tell them stuff like this... If they actually knew and accepted this fact, then they would have to stop hating people like us for daring to put conservative principle ahead of blind support for anything that happens to label itself "Republican.

We also joined with concerned Republicans in waking the House of Representatives up to the need to impeach Clinton. In fact, Howard Phillips helped mobilize concerned citizens from both the Republican Party and the Constitution Party in this effort.

Er, the NeoCon reasoning is what is ruining this country, not Conservative values.

The whole point is that these flakes are just KOOKS, who attract other unstable KOOKS, who need massive injections of common sense and reality

Ok, nopardons. Exactly what do you find so offensive that you decide to dismiss them as kooks? Lacking in common sense and reality kooks. I'm curious...do you not support Conservative values? If not, why are you a Republican?

But voting 3rd party in this critical election year is clearly not an option.

All election years are critical, Chris. That's the problem. Sooner or later we have to realize that change just is not going to happen until we stop electing from the Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb parties.

Right. That's why the Constitution Party has so much hope! LOL
