What with that magma being underneath Yellowstone Lake, we have the potential for some horrific steam explosion.

Mt. St. Hellens (50 miles NNE of my house) blew by the hot magma flashing the subterranean water in the mountain into steam. Yellowstone has the potential for an explosion many times the size of St Hellens.

The article says Yellowstone Lake water temp at the bottom is 80'F and that a magma bulge has reached a height of over 100'
