may be right regarding this majority, but this majority not large. Most people don't realize how tenuous the current majority is and how tired of it the people are. I still think Schroeder and his Green buddies would be out had it not been for the floods in Dresden giving him a chance to look like a saviour just before the election.
Michael, did you like the Steuer Song?
I'm not feeling well today. Please excuse the copious formatting errors and typos. My New Year Eve consisted of walking around for hours in the freezing cold with wet feet trying to find our stolen pug. Good news though, we got him back.

Oh, I´m sad to hear that. Recover soon and bless you!!
I agree with you, the anti-war-stance as well as the floods both led to his reelection. If one had not happened, hail the new Chancellor!
I loved the Steuersong. It was a great idea. People still don´ t trust Schröder, and I deeply hope that they won´t get manipulated by his propaganda in the next years. The reforms, passed with the votes of the opposition (we fortunately have a majority in the Upper House), shall not make him looking better. I´m glad the latest poll still sees his party at 27%. We have 5 state elections this year, and we need to defend our majorities in each state!
All the best to you,
Michael
