This maybe the first ever aircraft carrier (decommissioned 2001) available for auction at EBAY ! But the auction was delisted not long ago due to accusation wrongly made by a suspicious customer. We showed evidence that this vessel is DECOMMISSIONED and therefore not Ordanance. We are shipbroker and not arms dealer. We shipbrokers do not have the ownership of the vessels we sell, as none of the shipbrokers does, just as your real estate broker cannot ask you to transfer the title of your house to him before he start selling propery for you.
Suggested usage: tourist attraction, ocean-restaurant, museum, amusement park, hotel-on-the-ocean, etc. If you anchor it in the harbor and use it as a tourist attraction during the day, and use it as an ocean-hotel during the night, it will be great ! (it has rooms to accommodate for 1,300 men), and you charge both admission fee and hotel rate. (say you rent the rooms for only $50 dollars. Per person, times 1,300 and only times 300 days a year, then it is $ 15 million dollars already ! In 20 years, that is an amazing $ 300 million dollars. Calculate for yourself. If you want to sell the vessel for demolition in about 20 years, the current price for steel on the demolition market is about 130 US dollars per ton.
This vessel weighs about 16,000 tons. So you earn another 2 million dollars ! You do not even bother to count the income from admission fee from tourists or rent to restaurant or amusement park owners. You get the TOTAL investment all covered in the first year. But that is not all, the navigation instruments and satellite guidance system and other great instruments cost hundreds of millions of dollars when they were new. You can easily get a lot of money from selling the instruments. Now for a tiny fraction of the original price (which maybe over $ 5 billion US dollars) you can have this wonderful property all for yourself.

Current bid: US $32,876,868.40 Anybody have $33 million?
Ebay doesn't give a name of the carrier. Is it the 'Ark Royal'? it has an angled deck.

We are shipbroker and not arms dealer. How did a British aircraft carrier get brokered out of the former Soviet Union?
