Communist China automatically owns half of every business within its borders.
Communist China imprisons Christians.
Communist China uses forced prison labor.
Communist China devalues the yuan 40%.
Communist China uses protective tariffs.
Communist China is stealing our copyrights and patents, then selling product built with that technology back to us (according to businesses from Wrigley's Gum to Cisco Routers this particular loss cost businesses at least $20 billion last year)
Communist China is at economic war with us, and they are winning. Two high-ranking members of their military wrote not long ago that economic war can be as effective as physical war.
Communist China is obtaining sophisticated technology that took decades of R&D from us. They now make 88% of all the high-quality magnets used to make smart bombs. Our own Defense Department is becoming increasing dependent upon a hostile foreign government for its own supplies.
The United States Constitution grants power to our Congress to 'regulate commerce'. Our gigantic trade deficit with Communist China is just one piece of evidence that they are failing in their duties. Bowing to the WTO is further evidence of Congress' failure.
Do the words 'promote the general welfare' mean anything to you?
For the first 200 years this nation had protective tariffs to protect its businesses and people. The Republican Party platform up until recently always included strong wording in favor of tariffs, as well as wording about reciprocal or fair trade.
Our current trade policies are a recipe for disaster in our nation's very near future.
Besides the loss of high-tech, middle-class jobs, we are empowering a Communist government with leading-edge technology. Intel recently announced that a $200 million semiconductor plant would be built in Communist China. And, don't forget, the Communist Chinese government sells weaponry to whomever they please.
Why should anyone in China rise up and revolt and change the form of their government to one that represents the people of China? We are enabling this evil Communist government to stay in power when we enrich their economy and government; as we most certainly are doing.

About sums it up.

Too many people STILL don't understand that it is, in reality, war...

Thus they don't understand that we are losing it.

Nothing better than a little social unrest in the USA to further the PRC's interests. Distract the USGov't while they proceed to snap up Taiwan.

Actually, they didn't exactly 'steal' our copyrights/patents. A fact which was little covered by our liberal press - in the 1990's, Gore, under his reinventing government program, ordered our whole patent library put onto CD, and xlinton ordered it sent to china to 'save them time' when trying to get US patents.

This was done at the same time they rammed through a change in the US patent, to break the backs of the 'little' patent holders, and to bring US patent laws more into conformity to international law.

For example, it used to be that in the US we could patent a 'widget'. After clinton's changes, that patent could be superceded by a 'blue widget', 'green widget', 'red widget', etc. So, only big companies could afford to 'patent' things.
