Then please allow me to make it more plain for you: I believe homosexuality is abhorrent behavior, and those that engage in it commit an act of degradation against their own bodies and against the laws of God.

I personally do not agree, but even if it were true, I would regard it as a personal immorality, and not a matter of state. Just as, for example, we don't prosecute people for adultary, although some criminal statutes against adultary remain on the books.
I don't want to be condescending, and I'm not saying you're position is irrational. One matter that does concern me is not homosexual marriage as such, but one consequence: the increase in homosexual adoption. Whatever one's views on whether or not homosexuality is sinful, I think it is the case that kids who don't have a mother and a father have a lessor shot at a fulfilling life.
Anyway - I'm going to cut out the cheep shots from here on in, and wish you a happy new year.
