Ok- let me get this straight.
The guy shows up vomiting blood, and USBP fears rad sickness, so they order up a survey meter and rule it out?
I wonder what the urine and fecal tests showed, and if there was a check for particulate? Was he epilating? Did he have tissue browning?
Something doesnt add up. I bet on the side of the reporter being ill informed about rad sickness.

y'know, I was thinking that fast deaths due to irradiation of the weapons-grade variety involve being bathed in high velocity neutrons. Neutrons don't leave traces a geiger counter would find.
