to come to grips with the presence of 8 to 12 million illegals, afford them some kind of legal status some way,

Legal status such as, "subject to deportation"?

Nah.

That's it. Cut off all talks with fox and co. and seal the damn southern border.

Our "friends" in the mexican govt (as it is) are now helping smuggle other foreign nationals into our country in addition to encouraging their own cast offs to come here.

Good lord, I knew it was bad and that arabs, chinese and former soviet republic citizens were coming through mexico but to think that government officials are involved and helping them is an act of war.

"No, Mr. Secretary. We already have immigration laws. It's your duty to enforce them. If the arrest of a Mexican diplomat for helping to smuggle Arabs into the U.S. can't convince you of the need for that, what will?"

Maybe a Mushroom cloud over Washington District of Criminals will convince the maggots. With any luck we'll be absent 3/4's of the US Govt Beauracracies (sp), and then we the people can get back to protecting ourselves!

Mexican authorities arrested her, according to the Associated Press, "on charges of helping a smuggling ring move Arab migrants into the United States from Mexico."

President Fox, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, stated one more time:

Listen, you screwball diplomats:

Por la raza todo

Por los Arabs nada!

Why doesn't this seem to bother anyone in politics other than Tom Tancredo?

So is this just a steady rain or is al Qaeda trying to arrange the "perfect storm"? My gut tells me these guys want to make their next punch theonly one they have to throw. I know it's increasingly difficult to pull of coordinated attacks, but 19 terrorists managed to slip by security at three major international airports on 9-11 and exploit the piss-poor security measures of the airline industry. I don't think it bodes well that the savages we are justifiably brutalizing can find our weak spots so easily two years after the crime of the century.

Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge said: "The bottom line is, as a country we have to come to grips with the presence of 8 to 12 million illegals, afford them some kind of legal status some way, but also as a country decide what our immigration policy is and then enforce it."

We already decided as a country to have borders, a border patrol, and a legal process for those who wish to cross our borders.

Enforce that.

WTF???

How about: The bottom line is, as a country we have to come to grips with the presence of 8 to 12 million crack dealers, afford them some kind of legal status some way, but also as a country decide what our illegal drug policy is and then enforce it." , or perhaps

The bottom line is, as a country we have to come to grips with the presence of 8 to 12 million terrorists, afford them some kind of legal status some way, but also as a country decide what our anti-terrorism policy is and then enforce it."

Can one of you GWB/Karl Rove enthralled illegal immigration appologists here in Freeperland please tell me how this administation can consistently ignore enforcement of immigration laws? Despite the risks presented.

What happened to "the rule of law" that was so frequently cited when refering to the previous administration? Has the rule of law been suspended?

It is becoming clear that our national leaders believe they have the right to pick and choose which laws are enforced and which are not. What hypocrisy!!!

Whoa! Is there some kind of coincidence here, or is this blood vomiting thing a symptom of exposure to the elements?

From this post, we read: Balaghi was from Lebanon. On June 5, 2002, he showed up, vomiting blood, at Scripps Memorial Hospital-Chula Vista. He quickly died.

And from this post earlier today we read about an illegal in Cochise County, AZ: "He said his brother started throwing up blood, and apparently the group left them behind, but one member of the group stopped by a rancher's home and asked for help," said Capas.

Or is it that these third world illegals are more often just plain sick...?

On June 5, 2002, he showed up, vomiting blood, at Scripps Memorial Hospital-Chula Vista. He quickly died. When the Border Patrol heard his symptoms, they feared radiation sickness—and dispatched an agent with a detector to check his remains.

Balaghi was clean.

So, what did he die of if not radiation????? Vomiting blood does not sound good.
