The web server I use give the rating of web sites.

FR has a rating of 2,571

A higher number means more activity?

That seems very odd. For one, I rarely see a thread grow over 50 posts there, and if you look at how quickly the "lastest posts" move, it doesn't even approach FR.

Also, from Ann Coulter's "Slander":

"In a ranking of the nine most-visited websites in the "Politics & New Media" category, conservative sites regularly outnumber liberal sites. Though the rankings vary month to month, the list for March 2001 is typical: Four of the nine are conservative websites: drudgereport.com (number 2), townhall.com (number 4), freerepublic.com (number 6) and reagan.com (number 9). Only two are liberal websites, coming in at numbers 5 and 8. I have a very hard time believing that DU is typically the number 5. If so, WOW, the fringe is not fringe in ANY way, it is utterly mainstream, and I would LOVE to be able to demonstrate that.

Sorry, I should have put a quotation mark and paragraph break after "number 8" in that post. Don't want to represent my own words as Ann's :)
