Thanks for the ping. Point 1 -- it may help when explaining the procession of the North Pole to say that the North Star will be Vega in a few thousand years (13,000, maybe?). Point 2 -- 13 seconds may sound like a piddly amount, but I have a sounding rocket launch next week with a 1 minute launch window. 13 seconds is a significant fraction of 1 minute, so you have to be careful with your time...
