Take a look at Waldorf in Charles County MD, (also known as Chuck County because of locals). A lot of good ol' boys plus Sport's Bars like Howard's and the Moose.

Schools okay, actually have a nice conservative on School Board.
Cheaper living then closer into D.C.
I commuted for 5 years to Arlington, not bad if you can time it correct.
Wife commutes to Langley Va. everyday, flex schedule popular in D.C.

I love fantasy football and I have been running a league for almost a decade. I love golf as well and I am a naval reservist, so I can get on military courses. Although, they may not compare to the Navy-Marine course outside Pearl.

BTW - I also play soccer because it keeps me in shape. Do you know of any pickups games.
