I'm sorry, but could you confirm what I just read? Air France flights have been intercepted and escorted "several times a day" ?... I'd say they usually fly routine CAP in sectors or on strip alert as SOP. Since it's hightened security, and coupled that wih the French intel hijacking of last week, this is new.

You make a salient point concerning the international flights and their respective routes avoiding most US cities, except Las Vegas, which naturally puts Las Vegas into play in a what if scenario... in addition the pious muslim terrorists loathe Las Vegas and attacking it would be "their duty to allah".
