Several years ago we drove down to LA from SF to attend Captain PBear's grandmother's 100th birthday party. It was March 30th. I was so amazed by the sight of all those wild flowers, I could hardly speak of anything else until we got to LA. I made Captain Pbear promise to stop on the way back home.
Turned out it was bright and sunny and I have several excellent pictures including one of us which a kind stranger took using my camera.
To think, if we had flown down I never would have seen this wonderful sight. I am so glad that you had the same experience. I have mentioned driving down in April to the husband, we'll see!!
That is what I told my husband. I blathered on and on about that sight the whole drive up, and demanded we stop on the way back (we didn't), so i am planning another Easter trip to Yosemite this spring, at which time I WILL stop and take photos!
